8 years ago 193 world leaders signed up to the Sustainable Development Goals at the UN. A big comprehensive plan - 17 goals broken down into 169 targets - a toolkit to tackle the big threats of climate change, poverty and inequality by 2030. And with that Project Everyone was born. Our mission: to tell everyone about the Goals - through every medium we could, with as many partners as would have us - based on a simple theory that the more people that supported the Goals, the greater their chance of success. Fast forward to 2023 .. we’re at the halfway mark and we’re nowhere near where we hoped we’d be. Only 15% of the Goals are on track and the UN Secretary General says “ We’re on a highway to climate hell with our foot on the accelerator”…. We’re very much down at halftime.
